Harrison Crawford Grotto

HCG is a local chapter of the National Speleological Society (aka a Grotto!) HCG was founded in 1988, we represent organized cavers from Harrison, Crawford, and surrounding counties. We promote safe caving techniques and minimal impact caving.

HCG exists to serve as a community hub and educational resource for existing and future cavers, as well as promoting and protecting caves and karst.

Monthly meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month, starting at 6:30 PM. They are currently held at Indiana Caverns right outside Corydon, Indiana. Our meetings consist of business and socializing, followed by a “meeting after the meeting” at a local restaurant. All are welcome, regardless of background or experience!
